Manned Surveillance

Our Services

Standard

Complete intelligence for every situation.

As standard, each deployment runs for a 10-hour period and is carried out by a two-person surveillance team. Working in pairs enables the operatives to rotate positions throughout the task, whether on foot or in a vehicle, maintaining continuous coverage while reducing the risk of exposure. This teamwork approach ensures smooth handovers, sustained focus, and the ability to follow a subject discreetly for extended periods without drawing attention.

A full review of social media and residency databases is conducted prior to each surveillance period to ensure the most effective approach and maximise results.

Every case is unique, and we understand that some situations demand tailored methods or specific operational requests. Over the years, we have become the trusted choice for specialised surveillance requirements, consistently adapting our approach to meet the needs of each task. Whatever the challenge, we work closely with clients to deliver the most effective solution.

Lite

Primary-source intelligence at a lower cost.

Our ‘Lite’ Surveillance option is a streamlined approach with a smaller team focused on gathering footage and monitoring movements for intelligence purposes. This service prioritises observation without the intensity of full surveillance, making it ideal early in the claims process when clients want a general understanding of the claimant’s current situation. Offered at a reduced cost, it is especially appealing for cases with a limited reserve.

As always, our approach can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of each task - whether it be gathering vital intelligence without needing footage, simply filming key moments, or gaining as much footage as possible.

Surveillance in Practice

Civil and criminal cases increasingly rely on surveillance evidence to reach fair outcomes. High-quality footage often leads to early settlements without the need for court proceedings, saving time and expense. When cases do reach the High Court, clients benefit from evidence gathered to strict legal standards—ensuring admissibility is never in question. This approach has supported numerous landmark rulings such as Kirk v Walton, alongside many contempt and fundamental dishonesty judgments where surveillance played a decisive role.

Ethical Surveillance
Surveillance must be conducted under rigorous legal guidelines to remain fully admissible. Our operatives are trained to accredited standards across all aspects of evidence gathering and legal compliance. Over more than two decades working with major brands and government bodies, not a single piece of footage has been excluded from proceedings.

Applications
Each year, our evidence assists in resolving thousands of personal injury cases by providing clear, unbiased footage of a claimant’s true condition—supporting valid claims while exposing fraudulent ones. Internationally, our teams work with major brands and law enforcement to combat counterfeit goods and organised crime, with clients entrusting us to investigate internal threats and protect brand integrity.

Legal Success
Every case is managed as unique, with senior specialists available around the clock to advise and guide corporate and government clients. Our evidence has been instrumental in securing successful contempt findings and custodial sentences, including key cases such as:

  • Walton v Kirk (2009) – High Court

  • Shikell v MIB (2011) – High Court

  • Richards v MIB (2018) – Court of Appeal

  • Loveday v Acromas (2019) – High Court

  • Shah v LV (2020) – High Court

  • Dermody v NWR (2020) – High Court
